The doll

Below is a poem that I wrote. It was inspired by the Mattel Gender-Neutral Doll. 

The Doll
The Doll
With features that betray
no obvious gender
lips not too full
eyelashes not too long
jaw not too wide
with no Barbie-like breasts
or Ken-like broad shoulders
The Doll
Portrays a person instead of a gender

The Doll
boy, girl, neither, or both
Redefines the image of who you can be

The Doll 
Redefines society.
