Below is a poem that I wrote. It was inspired by the Mattel Gender-Neutral Doll.
With features that betray
no obvious gender
lips not too full
eyelashes not too long
jaw not too wide
with no Barbie-like breasts
or Ken-like broad shoulders
Portrays a person instead of a gender
boy, girl, neither, or both
Redefines the image of who you can be
I created a symbol that displays inspiring trans and non-binary people of all ages. The symbol includes activists, celebrities, and historical figures. Some of the people exhibited in the symbol include Laverne Cox, Jazz Jennings, Ryan Cassata, and Geena Rocero.
I created a symbol of men, that are both currently and historically, inspiring. The symbol includes activists like Martin Luther King Jr. and Vito Russo, Leaders like Nelson Mandela and Barack Obama, and icons like Nick Vujicic and Michael Jordan.
I am creating this blog to share my thoughts about inequality regarding gender, race, and sexual orientation through art. Get in touch with me at firstname.lastname@example.org
Please check out the blog attached that is entered around exploring the natural hair movement and the ways in which art has been used to express and advocate for it. https://curlsfortheworld.weebly.com/.
